When Briana Kilmer decides to change her life and write a novel about a serial killer in St. Louis, Missouri, she has no idea the monster really exists. She sends her story to an internet group of writers only to have the real killer read her work and decide she knows too much of the truth. He comes for her, sending gruesome body parts as presents to prove he is real and can get to her.

Briana calls on the talents of her Internet friend, Max, a retired cop, her son, the computer hacker and her pregnant daughter in law to help her find out who the killer is, what he wants and how to stop him.
