Portal

Captain Cea Knight and her anatomically correct sexy droid Malcolm are patrolling through space looking for the men responsible for the death of Cea's father and for sending Cea to prison. One of these men is Tal English an undercover cop who Cea vows to kill on sight. The other is Xander Crowe, space pirate and maniacal killer, hated and feared throughout the universe.

When Cea's ship unwillingly comes in-between a space pirate's ship and a smaller spacecraft, her ship is suddenly the target and she harbors the two fugitives from the smaller vessel and saves their lives. One of these is none other than Tal English who swears it was Crowe that killed Cea's father and he was not responsible. Tal's sidekick is Penny, an alien in human form that has more than one alluring quality. With them they bring an intriguing device that feeds off the sex drive of a spaceship's captain. This device when used properly can cause a warp speed jump faster than the speed of light and is coveted for its technology in aiding space travel.

Tal has his own reasons for finding Crowe. Crowe has in his possession an alien transporter that is reputed to be able to bring forth dangerous aliens from other galaxies that will wreak havoc and destruction on all living things. Together this unorthodox crew cruise the universe collecting information and locating the hated Crowe.

Portal was an imaginative read filled with aliens, sex, humor, deadly creatures and more sex. The ingenious concept of a hyperspace device activated by sex is definitely fresh and original. I enjoyed the steamy story and the action-packed adventures of the characters; not to mention the hidden talents of Malcolm and Penny. There was just the right balance of tongue and cheek humor and science fiction blended with eroticism and 'edge of your seat' action. If you like Sci-fi/fantasy Romantica you'll love Sydney Morgann's creation.

Captain Cea Knight wanted two things in life: freedom and revenge. Freedom because of the years spent in prison for a crime she didn't commit, and revenge against the ones who put her there. Along with her cyborg navigator, Malcolm, she made her living by traveling the galaxies looking for space junk to sell and searching for the two people responsible for the death of her father and her imprisonment. Thief Xander Crowe was the guilty party behind the crimes of which she was accused; Tal English was the agent after Crowe, and the one who pulled the trigger killing her father.

Fate puts her and Tal together once again to defeat Crowe and save the universe from the reign of an evil, greedy killer. Along with a nymphomaniac alien, Penny, the four of them must stop the enemy from discovering the secret to alien technology capable of sending ships across space at speeds unheard of before. Yet, the only way they can defeat Crowe is to use the technology themselves. Cea is willing until she realizes that the secret involves her, Tal, and very steamy sex. Can Cea put aside her hatred to stop Crowe before it's too late?

Portal is a well-written, interesting story that is sure to thrill Sci-fi fans. The only problem this reviewer had with this story was with Cea. She is a strong woman with a definite grudge, which is perfectly understandable with her past traumas. However, she seems so bitter throughout the book, and her change from hating to loving Tal seems too sudden. That aside, the characters are a very interesting group that will keep you entertained throughout the book. This reviewer particularly enjoyed Malcolm and Penny's love affair. They were such different personalities and Penny ended up bringing out Malcolm's hidden human qualities that made him quite the sexy cyborg. Overall, Portal is an extremely erotic read that is recommended for all who love science fiction romance.

Bodicea "Cea" Knight, Captain of a galactic salvage ship, loves the freedom of space. After spending two years in prison, Cea swears off men, following her father's death at the hand of the only man she ever loved, Special Agent Tal English. Moving through the galaxy trying to eek out a living, Cea is aided by her pleasure droid Malcolm, (MALe COhabitational Luxury Mechanism), who, in addition to his upgraded "tool", happens to be a very good mechanic and cook.

Tal English is on a mission to find and destroy an alien transport system. After a skirmish with a larger ship he and his traveling companion, an alien in human form named Penny end up being saved by Cea and Malcolm. However, Tal is the last person Cea wants to see and she certainly doesn't want to help him in his mission.

Portal is a funny, sexy frolic through space. Ms. Morgann crafts an elaborate galactic world and creates some interesting characters and situations along the way. Cea and Tal are sizzling together. Even in the scenes where they pretend to not want each other you can feel the sparks fly between these two lovers. Malcolm is an absolute joy and Penny in her true alien form isn't to be missed. The plot flows along easily and is fast paced. If you like Sci-Fi Fantasy erotica you will enjoy this great first effort from Ms. Morgann. I certainly look forward to what she has in store for us next.
